Not Enough Hours
Not Enough Hours is the newest television sitcom pilot program being shot on location in Orlando, Florida. Not Enough Hours is the creative project of Jamie Gannon. Most cast members do not live in Orlando which makes for an interesting twist of fate. After a national search for a cast and crew a dream and a vision came to reality. Think of Friends meets Cheers, Sex in the City style with Malcolm in the middle. Now you have Not Enough Hours. Just as Seinfeld was about nothing, Not Enough Hours is about everything - and everything else.
Not Enough Hours is the brainchild of Jamie Gannon. Gannon first developed the sitcom concept by reflecting on his own life experiences, turning fact into fiction with the inevitable exaggeration that befits good comedy. The characters are larger than life with dialogue intertwined from one to the other.
Laine is a loveable teddy bear character that wouldn’t hurt a fly. Morgan, Laines seven year-old daughter is the first female in Laine’s life. Morgan is the little girl who has Laine wrapped around her fingers. Morgan’s cute and sassy with style.
The second female character is Doris, Laine’s mother. Doris is a great character, widowed, and is outdated in her dress and appearance. Doris is lonely and demands attention from Laine and makes for a perfect antagonist.
Shelby is the third female to aggravate Laine’s life. Shelby is Laine’s ex-wife.
Mark, the effeminate apartment complex manager, brings a certain air to the sitcom with his antics and his jealousy over Doris and any other woman near Laine. His jealousy becomes evident when he gets into a confrontation with Doris calling her a “Drag Queen” which propels Doris’s character forward and into action against Laine. Mark’s charm overwhelms the cast as he playfully has dialogue with Laine. When an argument between Laine, Doris, and Mark ensues, Morgan gets the giggles and her sassy personality shines.
The final character rounding out this cast is Arlee. Arlee, the newest girl to enter Laine’s life befriends Doris. Together they try to trap Laine.
Each character is unique and adds special touches to the sitcom. It was a terrific job by Gannon in casting the actors to portray the characters.
Jamie Gannon from Orlando, Florida portrays Laine. Gannon has experience in theatre, television, commercials, and film. He is currently attending school and works part-time as a bartender. Additionally, he was the scriptwriter for the pilot as well as the casting director. He had a great responsibility on his shoulders to pull together a cast and a crew for the first episode of a potential hit series.
Dr. Melissa Caudle, from Kenner, Louisiana and Editor of Louisiana Red Carpet Magazine (www. louisianaredcarpet.net) portrays Doris. Caudle has both television and film experience and is a retired high school principal. Going behind the scenes and watching the director and producer work was amazing for Caudle who is relatively new to acting. “An experience I’ll never forget” says Caudle.
Lila Crick from North Carolina portrays Morgan, Laine’s daughter. She is seven-years-old and in the first grade. This is her acting debut. Even Lila’s biological mother was amazed at the resemblance of her daughter to the other cast members.
